Rachael is an experienced composer, producer and recording artist creating original music for television, film, sports programming, advertising, gaming and digital media. Her work has been represented by leading production-music publishers and libraries including Warner Chappell Production Music, MPL Music Publishing, Alibi Music, Gargantuan Music and Hypersonic Music.
Her music has secured international sync placements across major broadcasters and platforms including the BBC, BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio 4, BBC Wales, CBBC, CBS, FOX, Disney+, Showtime and Channel 4, as well as programming connected with the National Basketball Association.
Notable projects include co-writing and performing the title song for Nintendo and PlatinumGames’ award-winning Bayonetta 3, alongside composing and producing music for Steve Backshall’s Ocean Tour.
FEATURED WORK
Rachael Hawnt wrote the lyrics for and performed “We Are As One,” the official title theme for Nintendo and PlatinumGames’ Bayonetta 3. Personally selected by game music producers Hiroo Nakano and Koyo Sonae, she recorded the song with a full orchestra and choir at Abbey Road Studios. The internationally released game sold more than one million copies worldwide and won Best Action Game at The Game Awards 2022.
Rachael co-created original music, with Ash Cutler, for wildlife presenter Steve Backshall’s Ocean Tour, providing a cinematic accompaniment to his live storytelling and ocean footage. Her music also featured at the Royal Albert Hall during Professor Brian Cox and Robin Ince’s Christmas Compendium of Reason, accompanying Steve’s presentation on sharks.
Rachael co-wrote the song featured in the official trailer for CBS’s 2021 holiday film A Christmas Proposal alongside Guy Jones. Starring Jessica Camacho and Adam Rodriguez, the film was one of two original Christmas movies commissioned by CBS for its 2021 holiday schedule and later became available on Paramount+.
